Camp Chief Little Turtle is one of three camps in Anthony Wayne Scout Reservation (AWSR), located in northeast Indiana near the town of Angola. AWSR boasts of 1,200 of acres of wooded land, three lakes and a river designed to make year-round quality camping experiences available to units and families of the Anthony Wayne Area Council.
Thousands of Scouts, leaders and families utilize Camp Chief Little Turtle and Pit Lake every year in the following programs:
- Boy Scout Resident Camp
- Cub Scout Resident Camp, Day Camp and Webelos Adventure Camp
- Weekend Camping
- Family Camping
- Facilities Rental
As one of the methods used to achieve the aims of Scouting, the outdoor program opportunities consists of diverse offerings such as nature studies, outdoor skills, handicraft skills, shooting sports, aquatics both swimming and boating, high adventures, sports including fishing, cycling and golf. All these activities are designed to provide a rich set of opportunities in which to learn the meaning of Scouting.
